Iwaju Movie is the first-ever Disney animated series set in Africa, specifically in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria. It’s a limited series that premiered on Disney+ on February 28, 2024 . 

The exciting coming-of-age story follows Tola, a young girl from the wealthy island, and her best friend, Kole, a self-taught tech expert from the mainland, as they discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their different worlds.  The series explores “deep themes of class, innocence, and challenging the status quo”.
